Assimil8or

Release notes — what each software version added

Version 3.03_250126

  • A feature enhancement expands the MIDI Pitch Wheel Range maximum from ±12 to ±48 semitones.
  • A fix now allows linked voices with Random or Advance zone selection types to trigger correctly via MIDI.

Version 3.02_240403 — includes bug fixes and is recommended for all users.

  • Indexed KZ is a new MIDI Multi Assignment mode in which 8 successive keys act as index keys to select a channel’s zone, but do not trigger the channel. Indexed KZ uses a new MIDI Setup parameter, Index Base Key, to set the low note number of the index keys.
  • Index Base Key is a new MIDI Setup parameter enabling users to select the low note number governing zone selection for MIDI Assignment mode Indexed KZ. (For example, with the Index Base Key parameter set to 1, MIDI notes 1 through 8 will select Assimil8or zones 1 through 8.)
  • Zone Lock now works on a per-channel basis, and now interacts with MIDI Multi Mode similarly to non-MIDI zone selection methods.
  • The Wave Scope on the home page now tracks and shows the locked zone when Zone Lock is enabled.
  • Fixes a bug which prevented linked channels from transposing with MIDI note number data.
  • Various minor tweaks and fixes.

Version 3.01_231120 — includes a bug fix and is strongly recommended for all LOCUTUS users. Assimil8or software v3.0 or later is required to use LOCUTUS. This update also removed the Phase Mod Source CV gain (attenuverter) field from the Phase Mod page — no change to underlying data (the parameter is unused in actual RT playback).

Version 3.0 — introduces improvements to editing samples and loops and is required to use the new MIDI functions enabled by LOCUTUS.

  • Selecting the Sample Start & End and Loop Start & End/Length parameters for editing shows the “micro-editor” field. (In previous versions, this “micro-editor” always had an orange background color.)
  • If the “micro-editor” is shown for editing these start and end points, double-clicking ENVELOPE turns on the option to snap to zero-crossings. The “micro-editor” color will be blue.
  • If the “micro-editor” is shown for editing start and end points, holding ENVELOPE while turning the DATA 1 encoder steps by ±500 sample points.
  • A visual representation of the playback position is shown when editing Sample Start & End and Loop Start & End/Length.

Version 2.05 — a bug fix release recommended for all users.

  • All files and folders with names beginning with “.” will be explicitly treated as invisible/hidden. This addresses issues with loading and importing sample data.
  • The names of wav files created by sampling are fixed to conform with the requirements of the memory card’s FAT32 file system. This addresses very rare issues arising from sample names automatically generated from preset names that contain any of the characters  ” * / : < > ? \ ^ |
  • The appearance of the Solo/Mute labels has been updated for visibility and to set them apart from preset parameters.

Version 2.03_200318 — a bug fix release.

  • Fixes a bug that could result in a sample not being properly saved after user sampling.
  • Fixes a bug that could result in a sample not being properly saved after truncation.
  • Fixes a bug that resulted in display lockup when displaying a sample of fewer than 1728 samples.
  • On the Sampling Setup page, adds a “Wait” alert after sampling while the sample is being saved to card, then switches to the Erase Recorded Sample dialog.

Version 2.02

  • Zone Flip: A “Flip” function has been added to the Zone Operations menu. With a zone selected, use the DATA 2 knob to select the number of contiguous zones (starting with the selected one) to flip. Click the DATA 1 encoder to execute the flip. The order of the selected zones will be reversed; the zone voltage ranges will not be modified. This is useful when you’ve done a Chop or Explode and want to play the resulting zones in order, first to last, playing low to high on a keyboard (or sequencer) using one of the keyboard balances.
  • Zone Lock Indication: The zone number now flashes on any page where it appears to indicate that Zone Lock is enabled.
  • Sample Monitor Indication: The “L” and/or “R” indicators now flash subtly whenever sample monitoring is enabled for their respective sample input channels.
  • Also fixed a minor unreported bug and did some display polishing.

Version 2.0 — adds a host of powerful new features and workflow enhancements. Refer to the Assimil8or 2.0 Software New Features Guide on the product page for all the details.

Version 1.11_190917 — fixed a bug that prevented Assimil8or from loading more than 1000 sample “sides” (a mono sample is one side, a stereo sample is two sides). Consequently, you could not load more than 500 stereo samples or a combination of mono and stereo samples that totaled more than 1000 sides. You can now load up to 1000 samples regardless of the mix of mono and stereo.

Version 1.10_181001

  • File lists (files in folder file browser, sample lists, and folder lists) now display in alphabetical order.
  • The sample inputs can now be monitored in the Mix outputs. Set this function on the Pan/Mix screen. The left and right inputs may be set individually. Choices are: Off (the input will not appear in the mix output), On (the input will always appear in the mix output), and Auto (the input will appear in the mix output when sample arming is “armed” or “HOT” and will not appear when sample arming is “unarmed” or “Safe”). These settings are saved as part of Sampling Setup.
  • Channel Solo/Mute. Channels may be individually soloed or muted, in two ways: (1) on the Pan/Mix screen, cursor to the desired channel and select “–” (normal), Solo (S), or Mute (m); (2) at any time, press and hold the Pan/Mix button and press a channel button to solo that channel, or press and hold the Mutate button and press a channel button to mute it (Mutate, Mute, get it?). Hold the same button and press the channel button again to return it to normal mode. Solo and Mute settings are persistent across new preset selections and new folder loading.
  • Solo/Mute Indication — the channel number of any channel that is muted (either directly or because one or more other channels are soloed) is displayed in gray on the Loaded Channel Map and Selected Channel Map. Pressing Mutate + Pan/Mix together clears all solos/mutes. Scrolling help text describes the hidden key presses when any solo/mute parameter on the Pan/Mix page is highlighted.
  • Fixed a problem that could cause a display lockup during Channel Copy.
  • Fixed a stereo sampling bug where the left side of a stereo pair (Master channel) was not correctly initialized as part of the pair immediately after sampling, resulting in the right side not triggering when the left side was triggered.
  • Fixed a bug that resulted in improper levels of newly formed stereo pairs when editing a channel’s Mode.
  • Fixed a problem where a preset set to Auto-Trigger would start before all of the preset’s samples were loaded. New behavior: presets with multiple samples wait until all samples are loaded, then Auto-Trigger.
  • Fixed a problem where sample length would be shown as “0” on Sample Info dialogs (Channels and Zones pages) for unloaded samples. The dialogs now display the correct length for unloaded samples.

Version 1.03_180502

  • Improved: increased maximum visible folder count on a card from 128 folders to 1024 folders.
  • Improved: hard truncation of a stereo sample now updates the next channel’s sample selection if the channel was properly configured for stereo/right.
  • Fixed: disappearing cursor on waveform displays with very long samples.
  • Fixed: samples that had the ‘#’ character in the sample name wouldn’t load.
  • Fixed: some samples wouldn’t load due to an odd sized ‘inst’ chunk in the WAV header.
  • Fixed: Preset 199 didn’t get erased when loading a new folder.

PANHARMONIUM

Release notes & version check

The latest version of Panharmonium firmware is 1.50l_220430. NOTE: This version fixes some bugs associated with rare manufacturing variations in the hardware. If your Panharmonium is functioning correctly, there is no need to update.

To check the version that’s in your Panharmonium, simultaneously press and hold the Tap/Opt + Freeze + Output Mode/Option buttons and then press the Preset 1 button. The Spectra and Presets LEDs will display the firmware version. The Spectra LED number is the number before the decimal point and the Presets LED number is the first number after the decimal point.

Factory Spectra and Presets — The latest version of factory Spectra and Presets is 1.00lc_190618. This is the version included with the initial shipments of Panharmonium. If you’ve saved over the factory Spectra and Presets and would like to restore them, download the file from the list above and follow the procedure in the Utilities chapter of the manual.

Boot software — The latest version of Panharmonium Boot Software is boot2_190618. It’s very unlikely you will ever need to update this. If it ever becomes necessary, we’ll provide appropriate instructions at that time.

Updating your Panharmonium firmware

You update Panharmonium by playing the firmware .wav file (in the list above) into the module. We’ve had good luck playing the file directly from a computer (but see the warnings below) and from mobile devices. In theory, any device that will play a .wav file without distorting the data should work. However, here are some caveats:

  • If you are streaming the file directly from the web, be sure that your data rate is sufficient to keep up. If necessary, wait until the file has been completely buffered before starting playback.
  • If you are playing through an audio interface, it should output line level.
  • If you are playing the file from a computer or phone, quit your email client and any other software that produces audio. Any other audio injected into the stream will cause the update to fail. If you’re using an iPhone, temporarily placing it in Airplane Mode will prevent any incoming call or message notifications from interfering with playback.
  • We have found that Safari on the Mac plays the file in a way that sometimes keeps it from being successfully recognized and decoded. If you are using Safari, we recommend downloading the file and playing the local copy using QuickTime Player.

To update the firmware in your Panharmonium:

  1. Connect a patch cable from the output of whatever you are using to play the .wav file to the 1V/Oct Input on your Panharmonium (we’ve found that a regular Eurorack patch cord works fine).
  2. Turn on your system while holding Spectra 5 & 6. The Multiplier 2, 8, & 32 LEDs will light.
  3. Press Tap/Opt. The Multiplier 2, 8, & 32 LEDs will go out, and Spectra 1 will light to indicate that Panharmonium is waiting for audio.
  4. Play the software WAV file into the 1V/Oct input. Spectra 2 will light to indicate that audio has been detected. Spectra 3 will light to indicate that it has recognized the audio as software data. As the file header loads, the Multiplier LEDs will act as a VU meter for the incoming audio.
  5. Once past the header, the Multiplier LEDs will act as a progress indicator. The six LEDs will light in sequence as the data is loaded.
  6. At the end of the transfer, Spectra 4 will light briefly to indicate that all is well. Your module will then reboot automatically.

If instead, all of the Multiplier and Preset LEDs light, the update was not successful. This is very rare and almost always because of a playback level that was either too low (most often) or too hot. In that case, click the Tap/Opt button, adjust the playback level, and try again. If it still doesn’t work, get in touch via our support request form and we’ll help you get it handled.

MORPHEUS

Release notes & version check

The latest version of Morpheus firmware is 1.00v_170111. To check the version that’s in your Morpheus, press and hold the Edit Filter button until the Utilities screen appears. You will see the current version at the bottom of the screen.

The latest version of the Morpheus Cubes file is 1.01vc_170120. NOTE: the cubes file has been updated since the initial shipments of Morpheus. This revision fixes an error in the Null Cube in which the gain at the cube corners where Frequency and Transform CVs are −5V and Morph is either −5V or +5V was +12dB rather than the intended 0dB. In the new revision, the Null Cube has 0dB under all CV conditions as intended. No other cubes are affected. We recommend all users update to this new cube data.

To check the cubes version that’s in your Morpheus, press and hold the Edit Filter button until the Utilities screen appears. Scroll down to Load Cubes and click the encoder to see the current version. Press Edit Filter to return to the Utilities menu.

Boot software — The latest version of Morpheus Boot Software is vulcan_boot2_161121. It’s very unlikely you will ever need to update this. If it ever becomes necessary, we’ll provide appropriate instructions at that time (you can also refer to the manual).

Updating your Morpheus firmware & filter cubes

To update your firmware and/or filter cubes and/or boot software, you will need to play the .wav file(s) (in the list above) into the Full Level Frequency CV Input of your Morpheus.

  • We have found that Safari on the Mac plays the file in a way that keeps it from being successfully recognized and decoded. If you are using Safari, we recommend downloading the file and playing the local copy using QuickTime Player.

To update the firmware and/or filter cubes in your Morpheus:

  1. Connect a patch cable from the output of whatever you are using to play the .wav file to the Full Level Frequency CV Input on your Morpheus (we’ve found that a regular Eurorack patch cord works fine).
  2. Make sure there is no input into the attenuverted Freq CV Input (not even a patch cord).
  3. Set the Frequency Knob to its center position (0V).
  4. Go to the Utilities Menu by long-pressing the Edit Filter button.
  5. Select Load Software or Load Cubes or Load Boot Software from the menu.
  6. Press the Encoder switch twice as instructed.
  7. Start playback of the .wav file. If you’re loading firmware, you should see a green progress message in the display (for Cubes or Boot software, you’ll see an orange progress bar).
  8. When the file transfer is complete, press the Encoder again to reboot into your new firmware.

CONTROL FORGE

Release notes — what’s new in version 1.01c 170608

The latest version of Control Forge firmware is v1.01c 170608.

To check the version that’s in your Control Forge, ensure that your Control Forge is in Play Mode and press and hold the Global button until the Utilities screen appears. Scroll to the bottom of the menu to see the current installed firmware version.

OLED Brightness and Screensaver

OLED displays have long lifetimes under normal use, but if you leave your system on 24/7 (or just want to ensure the longest possible life for your display), you can adjust the brightness of the display (which is also useful for optimizing it for the ambient lighting level of your work environment) and, optionally, you can set a time after which the display enters a screen saver mode. Both of these can help extend the life of your display.

NOTE: Once the screen saver has appeared, any button press or a turn of the encoder will dismiss it and return to the regular display. Such encoder turns or button presses are not registered as control inputs. The screen saver will not appear when you are executing a Utilities Menu function; however, it will appear if the Utilities Menu is displayed (but no function selected).

Here’s how it works:

  • Select Utilities > OLED Control on your Control Forge.
  • Turn the encoder to select a brightness level of 1–11. You’ll see the display change in brightness as you scroll through the values. The value number also changes color to indicate the effect on OLED life (Green = great, Yellow = okay, Red = beware if you leave your system on 24/7).
  • Click the encoder to move to the ScreenSaver setting.
  • Turn the encoder to select the time after which the screen saver will appear. Choices range from 2 minutes to 60 minutes and “Never.” If you consistently leave your system on for long periods of time, “Never” is probably not a good choice.

NOTE: The screen saver is a small version of Control Forge’s Segment Shape plot that moves randomly around the display. This plot is actually functional, responding in real time to segment changes.

Tempo Mode

Tempo Mode gives you the option of specifying Segment Length in musical note values relative to a tempo (in BPM) specified in the Preset Globals Menu. Here are the details:

  • There’s a new item in Preset Globals: Tempo Mode. When it’s “Off,” everything works like it always has. When it’s at any other setting (i.e., a tempo in BPM): the Play Mode screen displays “Tempo” instead of “Time Scale,” and in Program Mode, the Time parameter for each Segment is displayed in note values (e.g., 1/8, 1/2t, 1/4d — t = triplet, d = dotted, (1) = whole note, (2) = 2× whole note, etc.). The range is from 1/128th note to 32 whole notes.
  • Double-clicking the encoder toggles between tempo/note display and the equivalent time display.

NOTE: Setting the Mode in the Preset Globals menu and saving the preset saves that setting. The double-click action is temporary and its state is not saved. If you load another preset, its Tempo Mode setting overrides the double-click state.

IMPORTANT: The above note also means that if Tempo Mode is not set in the Preset Globals Menu and you use the double-click to temporarily switch to Tempo Mode and then save the preset, the preset is NOT saved in Tempo Mode. The only way to save a preset in Tempo Mode is to set it in Preset Globals and then save the preset.

ANOTHER NOTE: If Tempo Mode is turned off in the Globals menu, using the double-click to temporarily turn it on assumes a default tempo of 120 BPM, which can then be changed by the encoder or Time Scale CV in Play Mode.

Other Stuff

  • Fixed: a problem that sometimes caused the top few lines of the display to flicker or pulse.
  • Fixed: in Preset Globals, field selection now skips over the disabled Reset Level when Start Level is set to Current.
  • A few other internal bits no one but us noticed.
Factory presets & boot software

Factory presets — If, for any reason, you need to reload Control Forge’s factory presets, download the presets file from the list above and use the Load User Data function to load it into your Control Forge. Alternatively, you can use Merge User Data to load it and leave any other presets you might have created intact.

This updated version of the presets (170621) contains the following changes from the originally shipping version:

  • Fixed faulty preset 457.
  • Added template preset 320 (External clock sync via WaitForLogicRise).

Boot software — The latest boot software is boot2_v1.01c2_170621, should you ever need to reload it (unlikely). If you haven’t been instructed to come here as the result of a customer support issue, it’d be best to just ignore it.

Updating your Control Forge firmware

To update your firmware, you will need to play the firmware .wav file (in the list above) into the CV 1 Input of your Control Forge.

If you’re using a smartphone, temporarily placing it in Airplane Mode will prevent any incoming call or message notifications from interfering with playback.
  • We have found that Safari on the Mac plays the file in a way that sometimes keeps it from being successfully recognized and decoded. If you are using Safari, we recommend downloading the file and playing the local copy using QuickTime Player.

To update the firmware in your Control Forge:

  1. Connect a patch cable from the output of whatever you are using to play the .wav file to the CV 1 Input on your Control Forge (we’ve found that a regular Eurorack patch cord works fine).
  2. Go to the Utilities Menu by long-pressing the Global Button while in Play Mode.
  3. Select Load Software from the menu.
  4. Press the Encoder switch twice as instructed.
  5. Start playback of the .wav file. You should see a green progress message in the display.
  6. When the file transfer is complete, press the Encoder again to reboot into your new firmware.

LINNAEUS

Release notes & version check

The latest version of Linnaeus firmware is 1.03_200529 (LED pattern: Off, Off, On, On). This version corrects an issue with Manual/External Ping Mode.

To check the firmware version that’s in your Linnaeus, press and hold the Right Response Enable button. After about 2 seconds, the top 4 LEDs will display the firmware version in binary. Of course, you don’t have to actually read binary — just compare the LED pattern to the latest listed above. If they match, you’re up to date. If there’s a later version here, update your Linnaeus as described below.

Updating your Linnaeus firmware

To update your Linnaeus, you’ll play the firmware .wav file (in the list above) into your module.

• We have found that Safari on the Mac plays the file in a way that sometimes keeps it from being successfully recognized and decoded. If you are using Safari, we recommend downloading the file and playing the local copy using QuickTime Player.

To update the firmware in your Linnaeus:

  1. Connect a patch cable from the output of whatever you are using to play the .wav file to the Ext Lin CV input on your Linnaeus (we’ve found that a regular Eurorack patch cord works fine).
  2. Turn on your system while holding the Left Response CV Enable button and the Left Response Enable button. All the LEDs across the top will light red, and the Track LED will go off.
  3. Press the Track button to proceed. After a second or two, the Left Response CV Enable LED will light red.
  4. Begin playing the WAV file. The Left Response CV Enable LED will act as a VU meter. Red is too low, yellow marginal, green is good. If necessary, adjust the playback level of your WAV player and try again.
  5. Once past the header (usually very quickly), the sync mark will be found, which will turn the Left Response CV Enable LED to yellow. At this point, the Right Response CV Enable LED will display the file loading progress, beginning off, turning red 1/4 of the way through, yellow half way through, and green when 75% through.
  6. When the load is complete, both the Left and Right Response CV Enable LEDs will turn green. Press Track to reboot using the new firmware.

If an error occurs, both the Left and Right Response CV Enable LEDs will turn red. An error code is displayed on the other LEDs. Note the LED pattern in case you need to get in touch with us about the problem. Errors are extremely rare and are usually a matter of a problem with the playback level of the file, in which case simply adjust the level and press Track to try again. If it still doesn’t work, get in touch via our support request form and we’ll help you get it handled.

MOB OF EMUS

Release notes — what each software version added

The current version of Mob of Emus software is v2.1_220820.

Mob of Emus 2.1

Pause Jack Fix — The Pause function can only be toggled by holding HEX and pressing the TAP button. Pause can no longer be toggled by holding HEX and receiving a pulse at the TAP jack.

Master Tune — A persistent (non-volatile) Master Tune setting has been added. This enables global retuning of Mob of Emus (MOE)’s origin frequency, allowing its default/initial parameter values to match more closely with one’s synthesizer system or ensemble when MOE’s output(s) are monitored as an audio signal (as opposed to being used as control voltages for modulation). This is most useful when using Mob of Emus as an audio oscillator or sound source together with its default/initial parameter values without tuning. For example, it is now possible to set the default/initial parameter values to frequencies that correspond with tuning standards like A = 440 Hz.

To enter Master Tune Mode, press and hold OPTION + HEX + TAP (pressing in that order works well), and while continuing to hold OPTION + HEX + TAP, press HARM4 (the Channel 4 button). H.LED4 will flash. Release all buttons. Turn the FREQ pot to set Master Tune.

  • The original MOE setting is at full counterclockwise (CCW). The H.LED4 will flash slowly at this original setting. At this setting, Mob of Emus’ origin frequency is 2 Hz (120 BPM). (When MOE’s parameters are set to default, without any CV patched to its inputs, and it is used as a sound source, the default parameter values will sound like they are tuned corresponding to A = 430.53896461 Hz.)
  • Above that default value, there are 129 further settings. These frequency settings correspond to a range of about A = 332 to A = 448 (at full clockwise). A = 440 is at approximately noon on the FREQ pot. The H.LED4 will flash at a medium rate for all of these settings.
  • Press the HARM4 (Channel 4) button to exit Master Tune Mode. The tuning is saved to persistent FLASH memory.

Tuning notes: As it ships from the factory, MOE will have an origin frequency of 2.0 Hz (120 BPM). At the setting corresponding to approximately A = 440, MOE will have an origin frequency of approximately 2.04395 Hz (approximately 122.63698 BPM). Please be aware that changing the global Master Tune will affect the frequencies of all presets, including the factory (default) content.

Installation notes: When the new software is first installed, MOE will remain at its original master tune setting, corresponding to 0 = fully CCW. MOE will continue to ship from the factory at its original master tune setting.

NOTE: To set default parameter values, press and hold Tap + Hex + Option. All of the LEDs will “chase” to let you know you are ready to select a utility function. While continuing to hold Tap + Hex + Option, press and hold the Preset 2 button for at least 2/3 of a second to set all of the current panel parameters to their default values. The Channel Selector LEDs will strobe once from 6 to 1 to indicate the values have been set.

Also in 2.1: the LEDs in the Display Software Revision utility have been updated to version 2.1.

Mob of Emus 1.3

The Mob of Emus 1.3 software update includes bug fixes and feature enhancements:

  • Fixes a bug where holding a Channel Selector Button for a short time to select a single channel and deselect any others was not working correctly.
  • Fixes a bug where some Hex Mode parameters were not ignored when Hex Mode was set to off.
  • Introduces a feature allowing users to double-click and hold the Hex button to reset all Hex Mode parameters and set Hex Mode to on.

Mob of Emus 1.2

The Mob of Emus 1.2 software update contains feature enhancements including the new single CV Input Reassignment feature, new CV modulation destinations, and a new Pause feature that expand programming and performance possibilities. See the Mob of Emus 1.2 Software New Features Guide on the product page for full details.

To check the version that’s in your Mob of Emus, press and hold Tap + Hex + Option and (while continuing to hold them) click the Preset 1 button. While holding Tap + Hex + Option, the software revision number will be displayed on the Preset and Channel Selector LEDs. The major revision number will be displayed on the Preset LEDs and the minor revision number on the Channel Selector LEDs. So, for example, if current software is v1.1, the Preset 1 LED and the Channel Selector 1 LED would be lit.

Factory presets & boot software

Factory presets — The latest version of Mob of Emus factory presets is v1.0_201110. This is the version included with the initial shipments of Mob of Emus. If you’ve saved over the factory presets and would like to restore them, download the file from the list above and follow the procedure in the Utilities chapter of the manual.

Boot software — The latest version of Mob of Emus boot software is boot2_200728. It’s very unlikely you will ever need to update this. If it ever becomes necessary, we’ll provide appropriate instructions at that time.

To update the firmware in your Mob of Emus:

  1. Connect a patch cable from the output of whatever you are using to play the .wav file to the 6/FREQ input on your Mob of Emus (we’ve found that a regular Eurorack patch cord works fine).
  2. Turn on your system while holding the HEX and Channel 5 buttons. The Channel 1 and Preset 1 LEDs will be lit, and the HEX LED will be off.
  3. Press the OPTION button to proceed.
  4. Play the audio file containing the Mob of Emus software. The Preset 1–3 LEDs will show the input audio signal VU: P1 is too low. P1 and P2 is better. All three is best. Once a file sync marker is detected the Channel 2 LED will light and the remaining channel LEDs will light in sequence to show load progress. If a successful load occurs, all 6 LEDs will be lit.
  5. Press the OPTION button to reboot using the new software.

If an error occurs, all Channel LEDs will go off, the HEX LED will light, and the P4–P6 LEDs indicate the type of error. This is very rare and almost always because of a playback level that was either too low (most often) or too hot. In that case, click the OPTION button, adjust the playback level, and try again. If it still doesn’t work, get in touch via our support request form and we’ll help you get it handled.

Version check & boot software

The latest version of Satellite firmware is v1.00s_170524.

To check the version that’s in your Satellite, press and hold the Load Preset button and then press the Load Seq. button to bring up the Utilities screen. Scroll down to About this Satellite and click the encoder to display the firmware version.

Boot software — The latest boot software is boot2_v1.00s2_170524, should you ever need to reload it (unlikely). If you haven’t been instructed to come here as the result of a customer support issue, it’d be best just to ignore it.

Updating your Satellite firmware

To update your firmware, you will need to play the firmware .wav file (in the list above) into the CV 1 Input of your Satellite.

If you’re using a smartphone, temporarily placing it in Airplane Mode will prevent any incoming call or message notifications from interfering with playback.

  3. Select Load Software from the menu.
  4. Press the Encoder switch twice as instructed.
  5. Start playback of the .wav file. You should see a progress message in the display.
  6. When the file transfer is complete, press the Encoder again to reboot into your new firmware.
